For Canadian-made, in-house line CARRY, Pat and Kat Gillespie created a space, in the heart of Toronto, where pregnant women can feel good about themselves, and find something that fits them perfectly, so they can fully enjoy this very special time in their lives.
In Calgary, Founder and Designer Lindsay, draws inspiration from her own motherhood journey to produce unisex designs made of premium natural fibres. She works with a small team of women who hand-cut and sew every garment at cabane childrenswear.
As new parents, Amy and Jared quickly discovered it was a challenge to source quality Made in Canada products, so they started their own family business. Ry & Pen produces soft, breathable, durable, eco-friendly clothes for little ones.
It's easy to see how our communities benefit from the success of local businesses like these, which encourages other entrepreneurs to start local businesses as well, creating more jobs and revenue.
