Canadian Made. Loved Everywhere

Did you know in the 1980s and '90s, the apparel business was flourishing in Canada. In Toronto, the knitting machines ran 24 hours a day at the family business, Jerico. The company knits, dyes, cuts and sews all its garments right here.
It has not been an easy decision. When import quotas were lifted in 2001, we were flooded with low-cost garments made in foreign factories. Many manufacturers have succumbed to the pressure to cut costs by outsourcing production while exploiting foreign labour and ignoring environmental concerns. Jerico chooses to support the local economy, provide a safe working environment and continue to craft quality apparel that lasts.
In Nackawic, New Brunswick, Alicia is taking on an industry overflowing with unnecessary waste and chemicals. Upfront Cosmetics makes all-vegan products, free of synthetic fragrances, parabens & sulphates.
Their nutrient-rich solid shampoo and conditioning bars use plant-based emollients, proteins, essential oils. Each bar replaces up to three bottles of liquid stuff. Taking care is all the motivation we need.
